Each year a group of Tonbridge Town SC & BBSC sailors hitch up their boats and go down to camp & sail at Cobnor Estate, Chichester Harbour. Normally they go down for both May Bank Holidays, August Bank Holiday & for the last week of July & first week of August. The tidal water sailing is great but there is no “Safety Cover”, so a level of competence it required. The fields used are on the private Cobnor Estate & the facilities are minimal; water from a standpipe, outdoor cold showers & a couple of toilets. It’ is not a recognised campsite.
Due to the current Government COVID 19 Regulations, the Estate is closed & the Harbour Master is discouraging non-commercial water activities until further notice. However, this may change at short notice and allow the event to go ahead.
