New members are always welcome!
Bough Beech Sailing Club is run by volunteer members for the benefit of members. Membership is available to all those interested in dinghy sailing and windsurfing. Club members consist of a wide range of sailing skill levels from beginners to instructors and from all age ranges. Individual and family membership options are available.
Members of Bough Beech Sailing Club are able to use Bough Beech Reservoir for sailing, windsurfing and stand-up paddle boarding during permitted sailing times in accordance with the rules and bylaws of the club. Safety cover is provided on most weekends and some other special events by our volunteer safety squad. Buddy sailing rules apply when safety cover is not present.
In normal times, our club house is open for members’ use at weekends and provides changing facilities, hot showers and a club house room with a balcony overlooking the reservoir and the scenic countryside beyond. The clubhouse galley serves snacks and drinks and there is also a member’s bar.
A boat park provides storage for members boats and equipment and there is also a fleet of club boats and windsurf equipment available for hire by members. Easy access to the reservoir is provided down a concrete slipway by the side of the clubhouse.
Training and racing events are organised throughout the year and further details can be found on the website calendar.
We are a friendly family club and new members are always welcome. If you would like to know more then please come along to visit one weekend and we would be delighted to show you around. Please contact the membership secretary if you have any further questions.
