On 31 May a handful of the Club’s keenest e-races competed in the last races of the May series in a number of exotic locations as allowed by the Virtual Racing software and in classes ranging from the Star to the 49er. Club eRacing Champion Peter Cook had a slightly less successful day at the office but still did enough to take the series from Mike “Sinbad” Warwicker, and Sailing Sec Nick Marden, who benefitted from being the RO for every race sailed. Richard Southern (Born to Run), Mike Burgess (400mb) and Tony Treasure (Pintail) also competed strongly. With the resumption of proper sailing, further eRacing has been suspended for now. Though it was enjoyable, we hope we won’t have to go back to it.
