Back in 1970 Bough Beech Sailing Club was founded as a venue where dinghy sailors from the South East coastal clubs could continue sailing through the winter months on a newly opened reservoir. We continue that tradition to this day and invite dinghy sailors from near and far to join us for our annual Open Icicle Series in January and February 2019.
The event is a sixteen race series for monohull dinghies to be sailed under PY handicaps over eight Sundays between January the 6th and February 24th2019 Races will be of the “average lap” format and organised in two classes, one for asymmetric rig boats and the other for all other boats
All participants, crews and, families and sailing support are extended membership privileges for the duration of the series. Entry for the series £60/double handed boat, £40/single hander, £10/day (£30/£20 youth £5/day). Boat storage at the club, for the series,is included for visitors paying the full fee. Entry is free for members of Bough Beech Sailing Club.
