2020 Icicle Open Series Final Report

Despite the season's storms, eighty Seven boats including many visitors enjoyed close competitive racing in this year's Icicle Open Series.  Congratulations to trophy winners John, Mel, Matt and Lynn and all to all those who took part or helped out to ensure the event ran smoothly. Annual General Meeting 8th March 2020

The Bough Beech Sailing Club annual general meeting for all members will be held on Sunday 8th March 2020 at 2pm in the clubhouse followed by refreshments.  Racing and club sailing will take place in the morning as usual but there will be no sailing that afternoon. 2020 Icicle Open Series Begins

Get ready for the Bough Beech Open Icicle Series 2020

Sir Alec Rose Trophy Report 2019

The Sir Alec Rose trophy this year, along with the winner being “crowned” club champion, was held on the 13th October. The day dawned with a gentle force 2 wind but with forecasted 5 to 7 later.  The weather prediction, and maybe rugby on the television, kept entrants down to 17. Seasonal Dinner and Prize-giving – Saturday 7th December

Members and their guests are invited to the annual seasonal dinner in the clubhouse on Saturday 7th December 6.30pm for 7.00pm. This is a casual social affair aimed at enjoying the company of fellow sailors and their families with a two course meal prepared by our galley staff and a well stock cash bar.  The prize-giving will take place during the evening. Powerboat and Safety Boat Courses this Autumn

We have vacancies on our volunteer safety helm squad.  The squad provide safety cover for BBSC members each weekend and full training is provided.  Each member of the squad is required to volunteer at least six days a year. Sunday Afternoon Sailing Training

Sunday afternoon training sessions for club members will be starting up again at the beginning of September for the Autumn Season.   Dates for the adult improvers, youth beginners (Pirates and Buccaneers) and Youth Intermediate (Raiders & Squad) are on the Adult and Youth Training pages of the website and the club calendar.
