Tales from the Three Rivers

A couple of weeks ago Guy entered Wayfarer 'Complete Fiasco' into the Three Rivers Race in Norfolk, known as Europes toughest inland sailing race. After 13 hours covering 50 miles of racing Guy and his helm John C finished in 5th place overall.  Read their story here. .. or read the official write up in Yachts and Yachting magazine.

Thursday Night Fish ‘n’ Chips

Laser Captain Pete has arranged for Marino's of Edenbridge to deliver Fish 'n'Chips to the club after Thursday night racing.  The order sheet should be placed in the garage next to the sign on and somebody will need to collect the money and phone through the order before 19:45hrs. Thursday Evening Series Starts 23rd May – Why Wait for the Weekend?

Now that the evenings are growing lighter, our ever popular Thursday Evening Series returns this week on 23rd May and will run through until mid August.  Why wait for the weekend? This is your chance to fit in an extra race after work, so be changed, rigged and on the start line for 7.30pm.  Please note the galley will not be open on Thursdays.

Laser Training Session planned for 8th June

Push The Boat Out!

Bough Beech Sailing Club was pleased join in on the RYA's "Push the Boat Out" initiative on 11 May. We welcomed several dozen visitors who were given trips in Wayfarers and a Snipe on our beautiful lake, including a large number of young people. There was also a display of radio-controlled yachts, a new Club activity.

Radio Controlled Yachting Trials

Glorious Sunshine and a steady breeze made for perfect conditions for the new DragonFlight 95 radio controlled model yacht fleet to try out their boats this Saturday morning. 6 members have bought new boats and fitted them out ready for trial day. Three Fleet Open Report

Saturday 6thApril saw the club host the Finn, Supernova and Streaker joint open meeting. The Finn fleet this year was sadly depleted with only 3 entrants, but the other two classes increased their entries, Supernovas 11 entrants and Streakers 15.
