Kent Schools Sailing Association will be running a day of Winter Training for Youth Sailors at Bough Beech SC on Saturday 23rd February 2019. Full details including how to register can be found on the KSSA website
The BBSC Annual General Meeting for all members will take place Sunday 10th March 2019 at 2pm in the clubhouse. Please come along and take part. There will be no racing that afternoon.
A reminder that sailors, windsurfers, SUP users and support boats need to keep alert to the presence of fishermen using the reservoir and allow at least 50m clearance. A sailcraft accidentally hooking and pulling on a fishing line has the potential to cause a serious accident with damage to any limbs and digits caught by the line. Clearance for fishermen is considered as a continuous obstruction under local sailing instructions for racing.

Close racing in the New Year Pursuit Race saw Karen in her Solo win beating Connie in her Laser Radial. Martin and Chris followed in their Supernovas but never managed to catch the two leaders. Congratulations to all our prize winners who were awarded one of our new perpetual trophies at the Club Seasonal Supper last night. Back in 1970 Bough Beech Sailing Club was founded as a venue where dinghy sailors from the South East coastal clubs could continue sailing through the winter months on a newly opened reservoir. We continue that tradition to this day and invite dinghy sailors from near and far to join us for our annual Open Icicle Series in January and February 2019.
